How It Works	Tracker Overview

Introduction	The Tracker is a reliable and powerful server system capable of managing communications with hundreds of thousands of L-Biz mobile devices of any types. At the same time, it allows Internet access by thousands of clients to their mobile devices.
	The Tracker software is implemented fully in the Java™ language. The applications utilize XML for all internal Tracker communications. As the hardware and software nucleus of the L-Biz solution, the Tracker is the heart and brain of our solution.
	The Tracker's key role is bi-directional communication, with clients and mobile devices, processing and presenting location information and events.

Functionality	Obtains, processes and retains latitude, longitude and speed based on mobile device acquiring GPS satellite-based data.
	Communicates bi-directionally and simultaneously with multiple mobile devices. Sets, detects and analyzes user-defined events such as emergency, Geo-Fence, speed and crash.
	Communicates bi-directionally and simultaneously with multiple clients. Presents service users with mobile device status information such as fleet location, route history, alarm conditions and other events.
	Provides a complete solution with administrative support, customer care support, usage report, component management and user-defined business rules.

Capabilities	Powerful Basic configuration up to 50,000 mobile devices. Can be upgraded to support up to one million units.
	Expandable Add or upgrade hardware for additional CPU, storage and I/O.
	Portable 100% pure Java™ application which can be implemented on different operating systems such as Linux, UNIX, Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000 and different hardware platforms such as ProLiant and AlphaServer.
	Flexible Use JDBC™ which interfaces with a variety of databases such as Oracle, Informix, MS SQL Server and DB2. Interface with multiple map engines such as MapInfo (MIF), ESRI (SHP), GDT, TIGER, etc.
	Customized Open Architecture Use XML and our Business Rule Engine which allow the Tracker to interface easily into the customers software.
	Secure Retain all messages and persists communication until messages are processed. Encrypt traffic over the Internet.
	Evolution Path Java™ software allows the Tracker to benefit from technology evolution and price reduction.
