Content Development

Online Education has developed a proprietary content development approach that enables the delivery of effective and graphics rich interactive E-learning experiences to low- and high end users. Our approach couples proven effective instructional design principles with horizontal and vertical presentation modes. The use of effective instructional design principles enables Online Education to deliver E-learning experiences that ensure children acquire the key skills underlying a given content area. The use of horizontal and vertical presentation modes allows Academy One to transfer and cache data to provide a seamless E-learning experience to both low- and high-end users.

The key instructional design principles underlying Online Education proprietary content development approach includes: (a) strategic integration, (b) conspicuous strategies, (c) mediated scaffolding, and (d) judicious review.

  1. Strategic integration: Online Education uses the natural learning process underlying a specific content area to organize the instructional scope and sequence including supportive skills. The Online Education E-learning experiences strategically integrate and link the supportive and key skills underlying each content area within and across lessons in a progressive fashion. In other words, the instructional activities begin with supporting and beginning skills and then proceed to the most complex ones. Additionally, using the natural learning processes underlying a content area ensures that the sequence of skills are presented in a balanced fashion in which there is an equal focus across the skill areas.
  2. Conspicuous instructional strategies: Online Education uses conspicuous instructional strategies to ensure that children acquire the skills being taught. Great care has been taken to ensure that the learning strategies support the child’s acquisition of the progressively complex skills underlying a content area.
  3. Mediated scaffolding: Online Education uses a mediated scaffolding to accommodate the level of support needed by each child. This approach ensures that Online Education E-learning experiences are as supportive and flexible as necessary.
  4. Judicious review: Online Education uses immediate practice, varied review activities, and intermittent review in its E-learning experiences to ensure that children’s acquisition of the skills underlying a content area are durable.

Understanding the budgetary and bureaucratic constraints our nations schools face, the Online Education reading program, One World Literacy, (O.W.L.) will be given to the schools with little to no cost at all. Though always open to new ideas and new partners, Online Education already has identified all the necessary technology partners to properly implement its all aspects of the development, creation and delivery phases.
